Dr. M. Jean Keller, CTRS, FALS

Dr. M. Jean Keller is a professor at the University of North Texas (UNT) Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion. She served as acting Department Chair from December 2018 to May 2019. She served as the Interim Vice President for Community Engagement and Equity and Diversity, Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Transition of UNT Dallas, and Interim Dean of the Mayborn College of Journalism. She served as Dean of the College of Education at UNT for 15 years. Before her career at UNT, she was Department Chair at the University of Georgia.
She has written or edited eleven books, twelve refereed chapters, and authored over 100 articles. Dr. Keller has given over 300 presentations in the United States and several countries. She was awarded over 10 million dollars of funding by external agencies for research and innovative projects.
Dr. Keller is recognized by the Academy of Leisure Sciences and the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administrators.
