What is AUEAA ?

The AUEAA is an organization that represents the alumni body of the American University in the Emirates, governed by Executive Board of elected alumni by the AUEAA Alumni Body, under the applicable policies of the American University in the Emirates and the federal law of the United Arab Emirates.

What is the Mission of AUEAA ?

The American University in the Emirates Alumni Association supports the university and its students by nurturing opportunities for strong alumni engagement, participating in university activities, building a sense of community and pride amongst AUE Alumni and strengthen the student-alumni relationship.
President
The AUE Alumni Association President shall be the Chief Executive of the Alumni Body. The following rights and duties are vested in the position of the President of the AUEAA:
  1. The President shall attend and preside over all AUEAA meetings and events.
  2. The President shall ensure that the AUEAA operates within the framework of the Association.
  3. III. The President shall maintain regular communication with Executive Board members and the Alumni body.
  4. The President shall coordinate times and venues for AUEAA Board meetings.
  5. The President shall set the agenda and act as Chairperson for all AUEAA meetings.
  6. The President Shall encourage the alumni to contact the AUEAA for their issues, concerns, suggestions, and contribution.
  7. The President shall respond to communications in a professional and timely manner.
  8. The President shall have the right to represent and act on behalf of the association.
  9. The President shall have the right to assign individual tasks and duties to other members.
  10. The President shall engage with the University activities/events internaly and externaly.
Vice President
The AUE Alumni Association Vice President shall be the Assistant Chief Executive of the Alumni Body. The Following rights and duties shall be vested in the position of the Vice
President of the AUEAA:
  1. The Vice President shall maintain regular communication with the President of the AUEAA, other AUEAA Board members and the Alumni general body.
  2. The Vice President shall attend all AUEAA meetings and events.
  3. The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President in case of absence or removal from the office.
  4. The Vice President shall aid the President with duties and responsibilities.
  5. The Vice President shall perform duties as assigned by the President of the AUEAA.
Administration Officer
The Administration Officer shall be in charge of the AUE Alumni Association records. The following rights and duties shall be vested in the position of the Administration Officer of the AUEAA:
  1. The Administration Officer shall maintain regular communication with the President of AUEAA.
  2. The Administration Officer shall attend all AUEAA meetings and events.
  3. The Administration Officer shall take the minutes at all AUEAA meetings.
  4. The Administration Officer shall keep copies of all minutes, documents and all other AUEAA records.
  5. The Administration Officer shall aid the President with duties and responsibilities.
  6. The Administration Officer shall perform other duties as assigned by the President of AUEAA
  7. The Administration Officer shall be the keeper of the Association’s seal.
  8. The Administration Officer shall be in charge of all the official communication of the AUEAA
Financial Officer
The Financial Officer shall be in charge of the AUE Alumni Association finances. The following rights and duties shall be vested in the position of the Financial Officer of the AUEAA:
  1. The Financial Officer shall be responsible for handling the budgetary and financial issues regarding the AUEAA.
  2. The Financial Officer shall maintain regular communication with the President of AUEAA.
  3. The Financial Officer shall attend all AUEAA meetings and events.
  4. The Financial Officer shall oversee the Association records and financial reports as a whole.
  5. The Financial Officer shall perform other duties as assigned by the President of the AUEAA.
  6. The Financial Officer shall maintain the AUEAA account in the University’s Finance Department.
  7. The Financial Officer shall have the power to allow access to the AUEAA account after the approval of the President of the AUEAA.
  8. The Financial Officer shall keep document records of all financial statements and receipts of the AUEAA activities.
Communication & Outreach Officer
The Communication & Outreach Officer shall be in charge of the AUE Alumni Association outreach. The following rights and duties shall be vested in the position of the Communication & Outreach Officer of the AUEAA:
  1. The Communication & Outreach Officer shall maintain regular communication with the President of the AUEAA, other AUEAA Board members and the Alumni general body.
  2. The Communication & Outreach Officer shall attend all AUEAA meetings and events.
  3. The Communication & Outreach Officer shall be the official ambassador of the organization after the approval of the President of the AUEAA.
  4. The Communication & Outreach Officer shall perform other duties as assigned by the President of the AUEAA.
