Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees - Asst. Undersecretary for Medical Practice and License Sector in UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, and the Chairman of the UAE Supreme National Blood Transfusion Committee.
Dr. Amin Hussain Al Ameeri, M.Sc., Ph.D., is the Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector at the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, where he leads national regulatory systems, licensing frameworks, compliance oversight, and the integration of advanced technologies to strengthen patient safety and public health governance. With more than 35 years of service, he has been instrumental in positioning the UAE as a regional and global leader in healthcare regulation, pharmaceutical policy, and innovative medical practices.
Dr. Al Ameeri holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Medical Sciences from Aberdeen University in Scotland and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from UAE University. He currently serves on several high-impact national committees, including the Joint Medical Committee for the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, the National Committee for Standardization, and the Board of Trustees of the American Emirates University.
Internationally, he has represented the UAE across major global platforms, including IAMRA, ISBT, AABB, and the WHO Advisory Panel on Blood Transfusion. His leadership has driven landmark achievements such as the UAE’s top regional ranking for access to innovative medicines, the introduction of AI and blockchain in organ transplantation systems, and global recognition of the UAE’s blood transfusion services. And recently selected as member in “Global Patient safety leadership council” with Joint Commission International (JCI).
Dr. Al Ameeri is a frequent keynote speaker at leading global forums, including BIO International Convention, CPHI Worldwide, the World Health Exhibition, and the IHF World Hospital Congress.
