The Library
The American University in the Emirates (AUE) Library plays a vital role in supporting the University’s academic work at all levels. It is committed to providing access to a wide range of information resources to support learning, teaching, research and creative activities.
American University of the Emirates is moving ahead in the process of transferring its stance from a teaching university to a research-driven institution of higher education. Thus, the Library is equipped with educational resources adequate to meet and exceed the needs of students and their multitude of specializations. The reference books and journals’ titles cover all specializations offered by the SEVEN colleges for undergraduate and graduate students. Additionally, the Library offers online educational resources, which students can access for their educational references and as sources of information for their projects, assignments, term papers and thesis/dissertations. AUE is currently subscribed to TWELVE online databases, which include ACM Digital Library, ebrary, ProQuest Central, JSTOR, Emerald, Dawsenera, Scopus, Al Manhal, E-Marefa, Eastlaws, Taylor & Francis, and LexisNexis
Students, faculty, and staff can gain access to these online databases, on-campus or off-campus through their portals. The University also offers access to all students, faculty, and staff through the “Deepknowledge App” .

The Library:
- Serves as a center that supports learning, teaching and creative activities by providing access to pertinent recorded knowledge.
- Promotes self and group learning activities for students through study groups.
- Promotes partnerships with other libraries, educational institutions, and local communities to enhance research, education, and culture.
