AUE Student Life
AUE prides itself on being a student-centric institution. This means that university life is designed to be as student focused as possible, with numerous student clubs and sports teams in operation, and campus events happening throughout the year. In addition, the university is situated in Dubai, one of the safest and most cosmopolitan cities in the Middle East that offers no end of world-class entertainment, from restaurants and amusements to arts and culture. As an AUE student, you will find yourself not only at one of the region’s topmost academic institutions, but at the gateway to the world.

Most non-UAE nationals will need to apply for a study visa in order to study at AUE. Students can easily apply for a student visa by providing the following documents to the PR office:
- A copy of their study schedule over the course of a regular semester (with a minimum of 9 CHR).
- A clear copy of their passport.
- A passport sized photo on a white background.
- Current visa details, if applicable (e.g., a copy of their tourist visa).
In addition, the following fees must be paid:
- 4,200 AED (student visa fees)
- 5,500 AED (refundable deposit)
- 1,000 AED (health insurance fees)
All AUE students must be covered by private health insurance.
- Students who apply for a university student visa can apply to be covered by the university’s health insurance provider, at a yearly cost of 1,000 AED.
- Students who arrive on a family visa can apply to be covered by their family’s health insurance provider.
- Students who arrive on a work visa can apply to be covered by the health insurance network of their visa sponsor.
Students are insured inside the university campus and covered for any accidents as per the university’s insurance policy. With regard to travel insurance, however, students should apply for additional insurance from any reputable travel agency as the university’s health insurance policy covers students within the UAE only.
