Dr. Mohammad Khaled Al-Nawayseh is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at the Management Information Systems, School of Business, University of Jordan. His areas of expertise encompass health information systems, data analytics, and technology diffusion. His research interests are diverse and include recent topics such as the implementation of health information technologies, the analysis of large-scale healthcare datasets, and the study of factors influencing the adoption and diffusion of new technologies in organizational settings. He has numerous publications in international journals and conferences that reflect his ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge in these fields.
In addition to his research, Dr. Al-Nawayseh is a dedicated educator with extensive teaching experience. He has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including systems analysis and design, database management, data mining, programming, computer networks, and security. His administrative expertise is equally notable, having served in several key roles at the University of Jordan, such as Deputy Director for IT Services, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, and Dean Assistant for Alumni. Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Management Information Systems, where he continues to contribute to the academic and operational excellence of the department.
Dr. Al-Nawayseh holds a PhD in Information Systems and Computing with a specialization in logistics modeling from Brunel University, United Kingdom, completed in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Wamadeva Balachandran. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from Mutah University and the University of Jordan in 2004 and 2007, respectively, both with excellent grades. His academic achievements are further complemented by his international professional certification and his active involvement in various academic and professional affiliations.
Throughout his career, Dr. Al-Nawayseh has received several awards and achievements, reflecting his dedication to excellence in research, teaching, and service. He has been awarded grants and contracts to support his research initiatives and has been actively involved in accreditation committees such as the AACSB. His promotion to Associate Professor is a testament to his significant contributions to the field of Information Systems and his unwavering commitment to academic and professional development.
