- Dr. Mariem Aloulou is a distinguished academic in the fields of accounting, Finance, and Economics, with a specific focus on the intersections of economic growth, Fintech, and sustainability. With extensive experience in both teaching and research. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Economic Sciences and Management University of Tunisia, where her thesis explored the impact of knowledge economies on regional growth, with a particular emphasis on the MENA region.
- Her current research interests include the role of FinTech in promoting digital financial inclusion, the economic impact of circular economy models, and the implications of green finance and sustainability on economic growth. Dr. Aloulou has contributed to several high-impact publications, including works on the relationship between economic complexity and CO2 emissions in GCC countries, the trends of the digital economy during the COVID-19 crisis, and the role of Bitcoin in economic systems. Her recent publications appear in top-tier journals such as Computational Economics and Financial Reporting and Accounting. She was also a Principal Investigator on a research grant focusing on global sustainability and net-zero targets in GCC countries.
- In her academic career, Dr. Aloulou has held teaching and administrative roles at prominent institutions, including Liwa College and Skema Business School, where she teaches courses in accounting, finance, and economics.
