  • Dr. Mohammad Al Nasar is an Assistant Professor of Information Science at the American University in the Emirates (AUE). Before joining the College of Computer Information Technology (CCIT) at AUE, Dr Al Nasar held various academic positions as Assistant Professor at Aldar University College, the University of Sharjah, Al Qasimia University, and lecturer at Jadara University. His experience is more than five years in various universities. He worked also as research assistant at faculty of information science and technology at the National University of Malaysia (UKM).

    In 2017, Dr. Al Nasar obtained his PhD in Information Science from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. He graduated with a master's in Information Technology (IT) from the Northern University of Malaysia (UUM) (2010), Malaysia. Yarmouk University in Jordan, where he obtained a B.Sc. in Management Information System (MIS) (2008), Jordan.
    Research interests of Dr Al Nasar are related to areas of Information Retrieval (IR), Artificial intelligence (AI) and Personal Information Management (PIM); with particular focusing on aspects such as user interaction, user behavior, user interface, user tasks and systems evaluation.
    He has published 15 research papers in reputed journals and conferences about the above-mentioned topics. He conducted many workshops and training sessions in Jordan and abroad. He has taught various subjects at the graduate level in areas of Information Technology, Computer Science, E-Commerce, Business Management and Business Intelligence (BI), and various subjects on computer and technology fields in the college of information technology at several international academic institutions.
