The College Mission

The College of Security and Global Studies (CSGS) is a unique college in the service of the United Arab Emirates through the American University in the Emirates (AUE). The College programs, provide hands-on knowledge and research experience to its students and faculty. Its aim is to reach out for academic and research excellence national, regional and international in accordance with the vision and strategic framework of the American University in the Emirates; To shape leaders with diverse knowledge capabilities and capacities. Students are educated in a multinational educational environment. They experience interdisciplinary approaches, towards their studies, that are both of theoretical and practical value. Students experience first-hand how security, strategy, diplomatic, information analysis and future studies among others are shaped, through knowledge and experience shared and gained at AUE.

The Mission Statement:-

The mission of the College of Security and Global Studies (CSGS), is to offer unique quality accredited academic degree programs at undergraduate and graduate levels, that are responsive to the constantly changing needs and characteristics of the specialized job market. To provide hard and soft skills to students, helping them contribute to the UAE vision and to the International Community.

• Create a community of global culture through the culture of the UAE.
• Create a multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary strategic and security culture, adopted according to the current and emerging needs of the 21st century, while creating a community of tolerance and happiness through stability and security.
• Operational efficacy in meeting the global and strategic challenges for the 21st century, by providing simulating management, leadership and decision making in live-feed, and multi-leveled exercises and scenarios.
• Methodologically approach current and future research in the related fields of strategy, security and all other related fields of global affairs, public policy and global governance.
• Enhance, part of the AUE, and lead on with a new generation of strategic and security experts, creating leaders and decision makers.
• Innovate, foresight and offer the UAE a global strategic hub of options for sustainable development through an active and robust visionary approach.
