About Dr. Zubaida Al-Dabbagh

She holds a Master’s and a PhD in Sports Management from the University of Baghdad.
She also holds a Master’s degree in Sports Law from the College of Law at the American University in the Emirates and is a PhD candidate in Law. She also holds diplomas in Environment, Health and Safety, Criminal Psychology, Psychological Counseling, and Happiness and Quality of Life.

She joined the American University in the Emirates as a visiting faculty member in the College of Law/Master’s in Sports Law program in 2021, and then served full-time as Director of Patents and Grants from 2022 to 2024. She is currently the Director of Thesis Support and Compliance in the Research Division and Acting Director of the Master’s in Sports Law program in the College of Law. She is a member of several committees at the American University in the Emirates.

Before joining the American University in the Emirates, she worked as a faculty member and administrator of university sports activities at Al-Mustansiriya University in Baghdad. She delivered numerous lectures on sports management, scientific research methodologies, psychology, and teaching methods.
She then moved to the United Arab Emirates to work at the Ministry of Education and later at the Abu Dhabi Education Council from 2004 to 2017. During this time, she presented numerous lectures and workshops at governmental and private community and educational institutions and participated in dozens of courses and workshops. She has published numerous articles and research papers on sports management, sports psychology, sports law, nutrition management, environment, health, and safety – some of which are indexed in Scopus – and has participated in numerous conferences both within and outside the UAE.
