It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2024/2025 academic year at the College of Education (CEDU) at the American University in the Emirates (AUE). Our college aligns with AUE’s vision, mission, and goals, and we are dedicated to preparing students as global citizens for future careers and lifelong learning through quality teaching, research, and service opportunities.

The College of Education is vital in broadening students’ knowledge and enhancing their research skills. We offer a range of general education courses, covering social and behavioral sciences to natural sciences. Other courses focus on developing essential skills such as communication, research methodology, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Our faculty also teach courses on topics including Emirati studies, tolerance and diversity, happiness studies, women and politics, and Islamic culture and civilization. We are committed to continually enhancing our curriculum to improve your employability.

While the Department of Special Education may be your academic home, the College of Education, along with AUE’s staff, faculty, and administration, form your broader support community.
