STUDENT ACTIVITIES

AUE students are encouraged to actively engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to advance their enrichment beyond the classroom as part of a positive and holistic student life experience. The Department of Student Affairs (DSA) facilitates student activities and engagement including: student clubs, athletic teams, associations, competitions, initiatives, study abroad trips, and a diverse calendar of annual events.

MASTERS AWARD CEREMONY

The Masters Award celebrates outstanding graduate students for their academic achievements and leadership excellence. The award ceremony is followed by a luncheon for the honorees and their faculty.

Club Fair

Student clubs are an integral part of the student experience at AUE. Club Fair is held each fall semester for new and returning students to discover clubs that align with their passions and interests. There are more than fifteen student clubs including Model United Nations, Marketing Club, Happiness Club, and the AUE Student Newspaper.

STUDENT SHOWCASE

Student Showcase is an engaging opportunity for students and clubs to exhibit their work and achievements from throughout the year. There is an art and design galley, academic projects, film screenings, performances and more. The event includes the annual Department of Student Affairs awards ceremony to recognize students and clubs for their achievements and leadership.

ATHLETICS

The AUE Football team has won the Dubai Universities Champions League three times in a row. In addition to men’s football, AUE currently has a competitive men’s swim team, and is men and women’s club basketball teams.

GLOBAL DAY

Global Day is one of AUE’s largest and most beloved annual events. AUE students, faculty, and staff, together with their friends and families, celebrate the UAE’s cultural diversity and unity. Students display their cultures with country-themed tents, traditional food, and performances. For the Global Day 2018 finale, Arab Idol winner, Mohammed Assaf, performed at AUE.

CAR SHOW

Under the patronage of H.E. Mohammed Ben Sulayem, Vice-President of the International Federation of Automobiles and President of the Automobile and Touring Club of UAE, the AUE Car Show offers a unique display of luxury sports cars, classic cars, and customized trucks and motorcycles. Professional drivers deliver jaw-dropping performances and drifting shows.

NATIONAL DAY

The AUE community comes together to honor and celebrate the UAE, its culture, history and its people. Attendees share their love and loyalty for the UAE while enjoying traditional food and performances.

FLAG DAY

The AUE community comes together for a ceremony in honor of Flag Day and the UAE.

HONORS CEREMONY

At AUE, we believe in recognizing and celebrating academic excellence. Each semester, the Department of Student Affairs hosts the Honors Ceremony for bachelor’s students who achieve the President’s List and Dean’s List.
