Nothing Is Impossible

Dear Members of the Board of Trustees, Students, Alumni, Faculty Members, Staff, Parents, and Friends of the AUE,

As we conclude the Academic Year 2025–2026, I extend my heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude to every member of the American University in the Emirates family. Together, we have completed another successful academic year marked by remarkable achievements, meaningful progress, and significant institutional milestones.

The past year has presented both opportunities and challenges. Higher education continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, shaped by artificial intelligence, digital transformation, changing workforce expectations, new accreditation requirements, and increasing global competition. Yet, despite every challenge we encountered, we never allowed obstacles to define us or limit our ambitions. Instead, they strengthened our resolve, inspired innovation, and reinforced our determination to move forward with confidence.

Throughout the year, AUE continued to strengthen its position as one of the region's leading universities through a series of transformative academic and institutional achievements. Among our most significant accomplishments was the successful approval by both the CAA and the SACSCOC to launch thirteen (13) new academic programs, comprising four bachelor's, six master's, and three doctoral programs, significantly expanding our academic portfolio and responding to the evolving needs of students, employers, and the UAE's future workforce.

This year also marked another historic milestone as AUE received SACSCOC Level V accreditation, recognizing the University's expanded academic capacity and reaffirming its commitment to international standards of academic quality and institutional excellence. In addition, we proudly launched the College of Health Sciences, reflecting our strategic commitment to supporting the UAE's healthcare sector through high-quality education, research, and the preparation of future healthcare professionals.

These accomplishments were complemented by strengthened international partnerships, continued advances in research and innovation, accelerated digital transformation initiatives, and ongoing alignment of our academic offerings with the evolving needs of the labor market and the strategic aspirations of the UAE. These achievements would not have been possible without the loyalty, dedication, professionalism, and commitment of our AUE community. Our success reflects the collective efforts of individuals who are deeply committed to the continued growth and excellence of AUE, while remaining equally devoted to serving the UAE and supporting its visionary leadership in building a knowledge-based, innovation-driven, and globally competitive nation. The loyalty and commitment demonstrated by our community extend far beyond daily responsibilities and represent a shared passion for advancing AUE's mission and future aspirations.

At the same time, AUE remains equally committed to its people. We firmly believe that AUE members are our asset and behind institutional success. Throughout the years, the University has continuously invested in their professional growth by providing opportunities for career development, leadership, lifelong learning, research, innovation, international engagement, institutional service and celebrating their achievements, rewarding excellence, and empowering talented individuals to grow, lead, and make meaningful contributions to both the University and the nation.

Every member of our university has embraced the responsibility of preparing future leaders by delivering high-quality education, fostering innovation, advancing research, embracing emerging technologies, and creating learning experiences that are practical, engaging, and future-focused. AUE members have continually enhanced their teaching, integrated the latest developments within their disciplines, and ensured that our students receive an education that meets international standards while responding to the changing needs of employers, industry, and society.

Equally, our professional staff have worked tirelessly to create an exceptional learning environment where every student receives the support, guidance, and opportunities needed to succeed. Together, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to delivering distinctive academic programs, high-quality teaching, meaningful industry engagement, experiential learning opportunities, and the knowledge, skills, values, and professional competencies that prepare our graduates to excel in an increasingly dynamic and competitive world.

I am especially proud that our greatest achievement this year cannot be measured solely by new academic programs, accreditations, partnerships, or institutional growth. Our greatest achievement is the culture we continue to build, a culture founded on integrity, collaboration, accountability, innovation, excellence, and service. It is this culture that distinguishes AUE and enables us to transform challenges into opportunities and aspirations into achievements.

Looking ahead to 2026–2027

As we prepare to welcome the Academic Year 2026–2027, we do so with optimism, confidence, and renewed ambition. The coming year will mark the launch of several distinctive academic programs, expanded research initiatives, stronger international collaborations, and new opportunities that will further enhance the educational experience of our students while supporting the national priorities and future aspirations of the United Arab Emirates.

On behalf of the University leadership, I extend my sincere appreciation to our Board of Trustees, students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, government authorities, industry partners, and friends of AUE for your continued trust, confidence, and unwavering support. Every milestone we have achieved reflects your collective dedication to our shared vision of excellence.

Together, we have demonstrated that when vision is united with commitment, and determination is matched by collaboration, extraordinary achievements become possible.
