Date: October 12, 2022
On the occasion of the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience in Abu Dhabi, the American University in the Emirates was delighted to send a delegation from the College of Security and Global Studies (CSGS), led by Dr. Nahla Hamdan and Dr. Renny Castaneda.
The exhibition took place on Wednesday October 12 2022 at the world-class ADNEC venue and was organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company. A total of 11 students from the CSGS were able to join the AUE delegation, offering them a profound insight into the world for which their degrees are preparing them.
As a platform for the international cyber security community to accelerate public-private collaboration, this exhibition provided unique exposure for AUE’s students learning about the latest developments in the field of cyber security implementation. Additionally, among the exhibition’s guests was the President of INTERPOL, Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi, who also happens to be AUE’s sitting Chairman of the Board. The Major General was an active participant at the exhibition and especially made time to spend with AUE’s students and the CSGS faculty, as well as graciously agreeing to have his photo taken with some of them.
