AUE Celebrates Record-Breaking 14th Commencement Ceremony
The American University in the Emirates (AUE) marked a historic milestone during its 14th Commencement Ceremony, held at Festival Arena Dubai – The Outdoor Hall, coinciding with the UAE’s 54th Union Day celebrations. This year’s ceremony, known as the “Year of Guinness,” celebrated AUE’s official entry into the Guinness World Records for creating the world’s largest ghutra.
The certificate was formally presented to the university by Guinness World Record Adjudicator Ms. Mbali Nkosi, followed by a live unveiling of the record-breaking ghutra—symbolizing innovation and Emirati heritage.
The ceremony was held in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, who delivered the keynote address and congratulated the 300 graduates for their achievements. University leaders, dignitaries, faculty, and proud families joined the celebration.
The evening featured cultural performances, a special National Day tribute, and entertainment highlights including a drone show and DJ segment. His Excellency presented the graduation certificates in a joyful atmosphere reflecting the pride of students and their families.
AUE reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, innovation, and empowering future leaders as it celebrated the Class of 2025.
