The Summit’s organizers highly praised the five participants, who were all honoured on the Summit’s last day, which was attended by specialists and consultants from various Arab and international countries. During the Summit, the AUE was given a special award for the excellence of its students’ projects.
Prof. Muthanna Ghani Abdul Razzaq, President of the AUE, received the university’s award in the presence of Prof. William Cornwell, Provost of the AUE, based on the fact that the University presented during the Summit student models with innovative projects that received approval and praise from the participating delegations from various sides.
During the honour ceremony, Prof. Muthanna Ghani Abdul Razzaq, President of AUE said that “the innovative projects by the participating University students during the ‘Future Innovation Summit’ are the first fruits of the ‘AUE Startup Incubator’ Programme that was launched by the University to support its affiliates and those enrolled in graduate studies. This Programme aims to assist in the design and execution of startup initiatives that are appropriate for the market, the era, and the future.”
He emphasized that the AUE’s vision is determined to promote innovative student projects with the goal of graduating creative and influential leaders in society armed with knowledge and experience in the field of innovation. “This would allow them to uncover ideas, ambitions, and future objectives for their startup initiatives, as well as conquer key difficulties to achieve success and excellence at the level of planning or presenting such initiatives to the market in an orderly manner.”
The “Future Innovation Summit” was organized by Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi Group of Companies, with the interest of Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi himself, who is one of the symbols that graduated from the AUE, and still represents a role model for many students and graduates of the University, due to his prominent fingerprints in the field of innovation and planning for future projects, as well as spreading the culture of entrepreneurship in the United Arab Emirates.
During the Future Innovation Summit, these projects ranged across many disciplines. They were presented optimally under the practical training and pedagogical supervision of Dr. Ahmed Nofal Al-Masry and Dr. Rasha Almajed from the AUE’s Innovation Lab Department, who provided the students with assistance and encouragement to make their initiatives a success.
During their visit and examination of the projects, AUE’s officials acknowledged their delight in the students’ accomplishments. They also promised to help the students and those who will follow in their footsteps in whatever way they could.
These five projects reflected AUE students’ skills at the level of future planning and readiness through startup initiatives that are up to date, applicable, and compatible with the UAE’s future vision, which aims to prepare a generation capable of innovation, expansion, and diversification of development horizons. These are the same beliefs that the University aims to instil in its students.
The AUE launched the “Startup Incubator” Programme to assist its students and graduates who wish to establish their own startup companies, as well as to improve their transition to work within the economy based on innovation, knowledge, and future-oriented by raising their awareness of entrepreneurship in various economic sectors.
