Mr. Neven Mihic began his career as a ballet dancer with the Croatian National Theater in Osijek. He was dancing for four years in many famous operas: Bizet "Carmen", Mozart "Cossi fan tutte", Flotow "Martha", Tchaikovsky "Eugene Onegin", Donizetti "L'elisir d'amore" etc.
He finished School of Textiles, Design and Applied Arts, Fashion Design Department in Osijek and in 2006 went to Zagreb, where he graduated with an MA in Costume Design from the Faculty of Textile Technology. During his education, he exhibited his costume sketches together with his colleagues from faculty and elsewhere, but in the following years, he presented four important individual exhibitions of costume and set design. In the period of five years, Mr. Mihic designed costumes for over 30 theater performances. Mr. Mihic cooperated with theaters of different repertory policies and formats, from large national theater houses to informal companies. The performances comprised of the following genres: operas, operettas, ballets, dramas, comedies, and they covered the historical periods from Ancient Egypt till the modern times.Mr. Mihic worked on operas for the first time with director Petar Vujacic. In 2014 he designed classical costumes for opera "La boheme" by Giacomo Puccini, staged at the Croatian National Theater in Osijek. In the context of simple scenic, Mr. Mihic's costumes come to the fore as lavish and imaginative colorful creations. The following year, in 2015 he worked with the same theater for the opera "Don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart. Mr. Mihic designed costumes in predominantly two colours, black and white, which symbolically express the relationship between heaven and hell. The cooperation with Croatian National Theater in Osijek continued on classical ballet "La fille mal gardee" (The Wayward Daughter). Also, he created a set design for this glamorous spectacle. Mr. Mihic designed dresses for the Chevrolet Motor Show in Geneva (Switzerland) and Frankfurt (Germany). He has also participated in several individual fashion shows, and many other artistic projects, including set designs. As a freelance artist, he became a member of the Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists.

About sketches and illustrations:
The earliest sketches by Mr. Mihic originate from the time when he was a student at the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb. These sketches are mostly exercises done during his education, versatile in style, technique and formats, a sort of unique visual art. Currently, his creative work consists over 300 different sketches, illustrations and drawings.
