Dr. Noura Metawa is an Assistant Professor of Finance at College of Business Administration, The American University in the Emirates, UAE. Dr. Metawa received both her Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Financial Economics from University of New Orleans, USA. She has Received M.Sc. in Business Administration Majoring in Finance from Mansoura University, Egypt.  Dr. Metawa earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mansoura University, Egypt.

Dr. Metawa has over 10 years of teaching experience in higher education as she worked at the University of New Orleans, NOLA, USA, Regis University, Denver, USA, and Mansoura University, Egypt. She has taught multiple Finance and Economics courses for both undergraduates and graduates.

Collectively, Dr. Metawa authored/co-authored over “20” ISI Journal articles in high-ranked and prestigious journals such as International Journal of Information Management (Elsevier), Risk Management (Springer), Information Systems and e-Business Management (Springer), Expert Systems with Applications (Elsevier) and International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management (Emerald). Besides, Dr. Metawa authored/edited 2 international books (published by Springer, and Taylor& Francis).

Dr. Metawa research interests include Entrepreneurial Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial institutions and Banking, Expert Financial Application and FinTech.

Dr. Metawa has received many international awards, such as the Mansoura University (Egypt) distinguished young researcher award for the year 2020 for her high ranked published work. Research incentives award for high-quality publications 2019 from Mansoura university (Egypt) In addition to receiving the “Regis University scholarship award” in 2019 for the best-published book, awarded by Anderson College of Business, Regis University, USA. She has also received the Privateer Doctoral Award in 2014 by The University of New Orleans, USA.

Dr. Metawa is a member of many international prestigious finance associations such as the Financial Management Association (FMA), Southern Finance Association (SFA) and Academy of Financial Services (AFS) and has presented her work in many of their annual meetings. Dr. Metawa served as the member of the AACSB accreditation committee in both College of Business Administration, University of New Orleans, USA. And Anderson College of Business, Regis University, USA

Dr. Noura serves as the Editor in chief for the American Journal of Business and Operations research. Published by ASPG (USA). She also serves as a member in the editorial board in many business journals such as International Journal of E-Services and Mobile Applications (IJESMA), published by IGI global. She also guest-edited multiple business special issues in high ranked journals, published by Springer and Elsevier.
