Dr Najat Al Saied is an Assistant Professor in College of media and Mass Communication at the American university in the Emirates.
Dr Najat Al Saied earned her Ph.D. in Media Studies at the University of Westminster in London-UK. She holds two master’s degrees in health Promotion Disease Prevention and Computer Information System from American University in Washington DC.
Dr Najat Al Saied worked at Zayed University in Dubai, UAE from 2014-2018 as an Assistant Professor in the College of Communication and Media Sciences. But all her experience throughout the past 20 years was in media institutes, development organization and diplomatic sectors.
Dr Najat Al Saied is a former Researcher at Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She is a columnist in Al Ittihad (an Arabic language newspaper published daily in the United Arab Emirates) and also columnist in Al Hurra (an American satellite television news channel in Arabic). Starting from January 2021, she joined Israel Hayom as contributor and columnist to the newspaper. She is specialized in political and societal development communication geared to modern and tolerant Middle East, She is the author of Screens of influence: Arab satellite television and social development.
Dr Najat Al Saied worked at the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in the Human Capital Development Department in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; the US Consulate in the Public Diplomacy Department in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Saudi Research & Publishing Company and was the editor-in-chief of women e-magazines in Dubai; the World Health Organization-Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in Washington DC; and the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Washington DC.
