Dr. Abdelawal is an Assistant Professor of Commercial and Maritime Law at the Department of Private Law, Faculty of Sharia and Law, Al-Azhar University, Egypt, since 2008. He received his BA in Sharia and Law in 1997 and Masters in 2003. And a PhD in Comparative Jurisprudence in 2007 with honors. The thesis was titled: "The Effects of Bankruptcy on the Completion of Creditors' Rights" from Al-Azhar University, Egypt. He also served as Assistant Professor of Private Law at Al-Jazira University in Dubai during the period from 2011 to 2017. He has experience in academic work for more than 18 years. He is a member of the Egyptian Association for Political Economy, Statistics and Legislation.
