AUESRC strives to promote scientific research among undergraduate and graduate students, aiming at instilling life-long learning, reinforcing students’ future employability skills, and fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and attitudes pertinent to education, research, and innovation.
This two-day contest is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in universities in the UAE and GCC who would like to present and share their research outcomes with their peers from the region. All students who have completed a significant scholarly or creative project are encouraged to register to present their work. Examples of eligible projects include major classroom scholarly research projects, theses and dissertations, capstone projects, directed research, action research, literary analysis that reveals new connections and insights, creative works in art and design, and fellowship research.
In alignment with Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s announcement on launching the UAE Centennial 2071 project “to prepare the nation for future generations”, and the pandemic impact on youth, the theme of this year’s Student Research Competition is:
Transitioning into a Future Generation
New Suggested Alternative: Empowering Future Generations for Digital Transformation & Beyond
Basic and applied student research projects in the following topics are encouraged to apply:
A maximum of three research teams from each university may participate in the competition. Research projects can include a research paper, capstone project, master thesis, or any other creative work.
Deadline for Project Submission: March 23 , 2021
Notification of Acceptance: March 20 , 2021
Competition Date: April 11 -12 , 2021
Venue: Virtual, via Zoom
Awards will be granted to both undergraduate and graduate students based on their project’s scope, methodology, analysis, and recommendations.
