Professor Abdel Rahim Hamid earned his P.h.D. in Mass Communication from Purdue University, Indiana, USA, his Masters in Journalism from the University of Alabama, USA and Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication from Omdurman University, Sudan.
His professional experience spans to teaching at a number of universities in the Middle East and Africa at the University of Sharjah, Qatar University, UAE University and Omdurman Islamic University.
Professor Hamid specializes in Organizational Communication, Intercultural Communication, Global Communication, Communication Theories, News Reporting and Writing, Media Management and Crisis Management. His has published research papers in Mass Media Effects, Intercultural Communication, International Communication, Mass Communication Systems and Policies, Communication and Democracy, Freedom of the Press and Crisis Communication.
Professor Hamid has accumulated affiliations with the Society of Professional Journalists in the USA; the International Communication Association in USA, the Sudanese Journalist Union and the Arab Journalist Association.
