Professor Mamdouh earned his M.Sc. & Ph.D. from Cairo University in Risk Management & Insurance. He has over 40 years of academic experience in many university such as: Cairo University, Sadat Academy in Cairo, University of Western Ontario (UWO) in Canada, University of Calgary in Canada, Institute of Public Administration in Oman, King Saud University, KSA, and the Arab East Colleges, KSA.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Canadian Journal of Islamic Economics & Islamic Finance.
Professor Mamdouh published more than 22 Journal and Conference publications and supervised more than 40 thesis for Ph.D., M.Sc. and MBA. He is an author of more than 20 textbooks in the areas of Risk Management & Insurance, Mathematics of Finance, Life Insurance & Statistics for Business. His current research interests are in the areas of Risk Management & Insurance, Risk Based Capital, Insurance Companies’ solvency, Takaful Insurance. He Trained more than 5,000 employees of Insurance & Reinsurance Companies, Petroleum Companies, Banks & Social Insurance Authority in: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, United Arab Emirates.
During the past 20 years, he held many managerial positions, such as: Academic Coordinator of Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, Director of Quality Assurance & Accreditation Unit, Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, Supervisor & Academic Coordinator of the Higher Insurance Diploma at Alyamamah University, KSA & Academic Coordinator of the MBA, Risk Management & Insurance Track, the Arab East Colleges, KSA.
