Mr. David Vanhoutte is an Instructor at the College of Business Administration at the American University in the Emirates, where he draws upon his multidisciplinary schooling and experience to teach a variety of courses. He holds an MSc in Population and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK), a PGDip in Management Studies (University of Westminster) and a first class Honors degree in International Business from London Metropolitan University. Moreover, he is Project Management certified (Prince2® Practitioner - Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) – MSP® - UNOPS Foundation), and he studied Social Entrepreneurship at University of Oxford.
His professional experience (on five continents) in corporate and public sectors, and with various UN agencies, defines him as a seasoned project/program and resource mobilization professional who channels prowess towards attaining optimal outcomes in healthcare and economic development arenas.
On a voluntary basis, his contributions to several organizations are themed on women (economic) empowerment and improving conditions for people with special needs. His principal interests intersect at the concepts of paradigm shifts, sustainable equity and triple bottom lines.
