Mr. Ahmad Abadalla

Assistant Professor, College of Media and Mass Communication

Mr. Ahmed Abdallah holds a MFA terminal degree in Motion Pictures and Television from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California, USA. During the five years he studied and worked in California he worked with Hollywood legends such as actress/producer Diane Baker, nominated for two Golden Globes, and Robert Dinozzi, producer for Jodie Foster's blockbuster movie Flightplan.

His professional recognition includes being awarded the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant in 2011 for his script "Dreams of Abraham". Previous recipients of this prestigious grant were the scriptwriters for Traffic, Napoleon Dynamite and Requiem for a Dream. In addition, Mr. Abdallah's film "Sarah", was nominated for the Epidemic Film Festival in San Francisco, California in 2010 for Best Narrative. His most recent achievement was receiving the INJAZ award in Dubai for his film script "Framel". He has also worked as executive story editor and co-writer on 30 episodes of Arabic TV drama” Al Harer wa Alnar” .
