Dr. Wasim Ahmad

Assistant Professor, College of Education

Dr. Wasim Ahmad earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Studies from Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi, focusing on a critical and comparative study of the understanding of Islam as reflected in the writings of Kenneth Cragg and William Montgomery Watt.

Dr. Wasim earned his prior qualifications (al-‘Aalamiyyah & al-Fadheelah) in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Jami‘atul Falah, Azamgarg, Uttar Pradesh, India. He also holds a Master of Arts in Arabic Language and Literature from the Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh, India

Dr. Wasim taught Islamic Studies in Preston University Ajman, UAE, and chaired the Islamic Studies Department at that University for a decade, and is now a proud faculty member of the American University in the Emirates’ College of Education.
