Dr. Mounir Kehal gained a BSc in Computing and a MBA from the American International University in London, UK, a MPhil and PhD in Computing from the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK.
He is currently the Acting Dean of the College of Business Administration at American University in the Emirates. Prior to which he was Associate Professor of Business Information Systems and Director of Strategic Planning and Accreditations at École Supérieure de Commerce – Rennes School of Business (Triple Crown accredited: AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) in Brittany, France from spring 2010 till 2014. From 2004 till 2010, he was at the International University of Monaco – IUM, as Assistant Professor of Computing Science, Information Technology, Decision Systems and Knowledge Management. Before working with IUM, Dr. Kehal worked at the University of Surrey (School of E&PS, Department of Computing, Guildford, UK); at the same time he was conducting his doctoral research degree (MPhil and PhD) from 2001 till 2005. Hence, he was a Lecturer Assistant in E-Commerce, Knowledge Management and Business Strategy Modules. During 1997, Dr. Kehal was a Teaching Assistant at the American International University in London, UK, whilst he was pursuing his studies. Dr. Kehal joined Global TeleSystems UK, Ltd. (Member of GTS Group Ltd), where he served as a Database Developer and subsequently as a Software Development Consultant from 1998 to 1999. In 1999, he began working for the American International University in London, Business School, UK, as a Quantitative Analysis Tutor, whilst finishing his MBA.
He is a member of IEEE, Computer Society, AIS, IACIS, Informing Science Institute, UK Academy of Information Systems, Strategic Planning Society and AACSB’s diverse Affinity Groups. He has a well-developed array of research activities in his field of professorship appointment, which has helped in authoring several papers in diverse academic conferences and journals. He is also a member of the editorial board and a reviewer for Knowledge Management Research & Practice; an Elsevier Journal, Decision Analysis Journal; an Informs Quarterly, the Interdisciplinary Journal of Knowledge and Learning Objects (IJKLO), the International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organization (IJMLO), the Interdisciplinary Journal of Information, Knowledge and Management (IJIKM), the International Journal of Internet Technology and Secured Transactions (IJITST), and Informing Science: The International Journal of an Emerging Discipline. He acts as a reviewer for some field related conferences.
