With a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Redlands in California and a Masters in Teaching and Learning from the School for International Training in Vermont. His academic interests have focused on organizational learning and the formation of high performance teams and communities.

He has worked and taught in both industry and education in the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Research interests include the Learning Organization, Communities of Practice, Leadership for Community Development and Strategic Planning for the Development of Internal and Cross-Organizational Learning.
