Dr. Anthony Ijeh

Dr. Anthony Ijeh is an Assistant Professor at the College of Computer Information Technology. He obtained his P.h.D from the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering, University of East London, in 2011. His research interests are primarily in information systems security, location based services, ubiquitous technologies and networks. He has more than 23 publications and is a program committee member of several international conferences and workshops. He is a regular reviewer for various journals and has been involved in a number of research projects as both PI and Co-PI. Dr. Ijeh has received financial support from the Research Council Oman, National Physical Laboratory and Royal Academy of Engineering, amongst others. In 2009, he received a highly commended award for innovation in security from Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET). In 2010, he received a finalist award for research and development achievement of the year from the British Computer Society (BCS). In 2011, he received a best doctoral thesis award in Communication Technology from the Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Communications Society UK&RI chapter. He is currently authoring two books to be published by Springer International, the first on Location Based Technology in the Middle East and the second on Geofencing as an Access Technology.
