Academics

7 Different Colleges

Students are welcome to join any of our 7 different colleges as an exchange or visiting student. All of our programs are in English, with the exception of our College of Law and one Public Relations program, which are in Arabic. Take courses like Accounting, Logistics and Supply Chain, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and even Disaster Management! All our programs are located here.

Class Format

Students will take classes with local students from the UAE and elsewhere! Our student body is diverse, representing ____ different countries. The classroom environment is small and individual attention is common.

Grading and Attendance

Students are graded based on quizzes, tests, homework, and participation. Different than you might find in the U.S., class participation is mandatory, and attendance is recorded. Students should expect to have class Sunday - Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as the weekend.

Eligibility

  • Overall GPA must be 2.5 or higher.
  • Proof of English proficiency (Students coming from a non-English speaking country must present proof of their English proficiency per the AUE admissions requirements.)

Fees

Exchange students will pay tuition to their home institution and fees to AUE. Visiting students will pay AUE tuition and fees. All students will pay for housing. Fees include a one week orientation session prior to start of classes, optional airport pick-up, field trips and cultural activities, comprehensive health insurance, and 24/7 on-site emergency support.

Estimated Costs

Estimated Costs include flights, travel, living expenses, and personal expenses. These expenses vary per student and are dependent upon the living arrangement, but our estimates are listed below in USD for a semester:

  • Living Expenses: $1000
  • Transportation: $200
  • Flights: $1300
  • Personal Expenses: $1500

Student Life

  • You will be studying and living in the heart of the Middle East, Dubai.
  • Students will live in Uninest, Dubailand (students accomodation) near the AUE campus. Transportation to and from campus will be provided.
  • Meals are not included in the program cost and students are responsible for their own meals. Restaurants and grocery stores are abundant, and many different restaurants can deliver straight to your door.
