Student of the American University in the Emirates, Eljammi Gozalli of College of Fine Arts and Design grabbed the runners-up prize at the YOUNG DESIGNER AWARDS, BRIDE Dubai, 2015.
BRIDE Dubai is the largest and most luxurious bridal event in the calendar for all fashion lovers. The event, which attracts thousands of women every year, is the perfect arena for budding fashion stars to showcase their unique creations.
Launched at BRIDE Dubai 16 years ago, the Young Designers Award has become an extremely popular yearly event for upcoming designers who attend prestigious fashion colleges from around the Middle East, and amongst aspiring amateurs looking to break into the world of fashion.
This year, the competition witnessed huge participation from across the region. AUE’s two students Eljammi Gozalli and Sirin Al Baghada made their entry to the final list among all the entries
The 10 finalist young designers were required to create an outfit inspired by the theme Red Carpet – A Day at the Races. The designs were exhibited for four days during the exhibition, and showcased on the catwalk on March 28th before a distinguished panel of judges.
Eljammi’s award-winning design was created keeping in mind the etiquettes and style of the Dubai Horse Racing events. The elegant and classy dress is an expression of her creativity and minimalistic design philosophy.
